Your adventure begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. Cross the High Atlas Mountains and visit the historic Kasbah Telouet, former residence of the Glaoui family. Continue on a scenic drive to the UNESCO World Heritage village of Ait Ben Haddou, famous for its role in numerous films. Enjoy free time to explore and have lunch.
Afterwards, travel through Ouarzazate, pass through the lush Draa Valley, and arrive at Zagora where your camel caravan awaits. Ride the dunes at sunset before reaching your desert camp for a magical night under the stars, entertained by nomads around a campfire.
Rise early to witness the enchanting desert sunrise before a camel ride back to the main road. Continue your journey to Tamgroute to visit its historical sites, including the Zaouia and an ancient Koranic library. Explore local pottery makers before heading to Mhamid, the gateway to the big dunes of Erg Chegaga.
Upon arrival at Erg Chegaga, enjoy a camel ride across the dunes and spend your evening in an authentic desert camp. A traditional dinner will be served under the stars, with another night of Berber entertainment by the campfire.
Day 3: Erg Chegaga – Foum Zguid – Taznakht – Tizi N’tichka – Marrakesh After breakfast, continue across the desert, stopping at the dried-up Lake Iriqui where you can search for fossils. Travel to the village of Foum Zguid for a lunch stop and then visit Taznakht, known for its beautiful Berber carpets. The journey concludes with a scenic drive through the Tizi N’tichka pass, arriving back in Marrakech around 6:00 pm, where you'll be dropped off at your hotel or riad.
