Your adventure begins with a warm pickup from either your hotel, riad, or the Menara Airport in Marrakech. Embark on a scenic drive through the High Atlas Mountains, passing traditional Berber villages before arriving at the UNESCO-listed site of Ait Ben Haddou. Explore the captivating kasbah, which has appeared in numerous films and offers a glimpse into Morocco’s rich history. After lunch at your leisure, continue to Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Sahara,” before heading to the Dades Valley, where you will dine and spend the night.
Following breakfast, continue your journey along the famed “Road of 1001 Kasbahs,” dotted with oases and ancient fortresses. Arrive at the stunning Todgha Gorges, where the dramatic canyon walls tower above you. Enjoy lunch at a local café before resuming your journey to Merzouga, at the edge of the Sahara Desert. In the evening, savor a delicious dinner and unwind at a peaceful auberge near the desert.
Start your day with a hearty breakfast before delving into the heart of the Sahara. Take part in a camel trekking adventure across the majestic Erg Chebbi dunes, marveling at the vibrant sunset. Spend the night in a traditional desert camp under the stars, with dinner and a Berber show to complete the experience. Optional activities include sandboarding, quad biking, or a 4x4 visit to local nomad families, where you’ll be treated to Berber tea and cuisine.
Wake up early to witness the magical desert sunrise, followed by breakfast. After another camel trek, begin the long drive back to Marrakech (or Fes, depending on your choice). Stop for lunch along the way and enjoy the scenic landscapes of the desert, mountains, and valleys. Your journey concludes as you reach your accommodation by evening.
