A captivating journey through Southern Morocco, between golden dunes, the enchanting scent of roses, and lush palm groves.
Exotic Escapes. Far from the joyful bustle of souks, medinas, and the minarets of imperial cities, there lies a different Morocco – one of nature’s wonders and endless sands, interspersed with bursts of green in oases and palm groves. The landscapes here surprise and awe at every turn. This southern region of Morocco, stretching towards the Sahara, offers an adventure of a lifetime. On this journey, we will explore like modern-day adventurers, discovering the most iconic kasbahs and enjoying the quintessential “tea in the desert,” following in the footsteps of Lawrence of Arabia.
Cinematic and Roses. Starting from Marrakech, we’ll dive into the country’s more intimate side. Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa,” greets us with a familiar feeling. Many iconic films, from Gladiator to Star Wars, were brought to life here. Along the “Route of a Thousand Kasbahs,” surrounded by oases and vast valleys, we will retrace ancient caravan routes. After passing fortresses and villages, a stunning valley opens up before us: the Valley of Roses, a true immersion into the local tradition of cultivating the Damask rose, from which essential oils and fragrant waters are extracted.
The Desert’s Magic. The breathtaking Moroccan desert reveals itself in all its majesty at Merzouga, where soft, shimmering dunes unfold across nomadic camps and the spectacular gorges of Tinghir. For those who know how to appreciate it, the desert becomes a place of discovery and rich variety. Returning to Marrakech will break our hearts as the infinite spaces and the serene silences of the South linger in our souls. This is the essence of a truly unforgettable journey, one that’s never ordinary, but always extraordinary.

Upon your arrival at Menara Airport, you will be warmly greeted and transferred to your hotel. After a brief overview of the itinerary, enjoy a delicious dinner before relaxing for the night in the luxurious Palm Plaza Hotel & Spa (or similar).

Explore the wonders of Marrakech! Visit the magnificent Menara Gardens, the splendid Bahia Palace, and the fascinating Ben Youssef Madrasa. After a delightful lunch, head to the famous palm grove and stroll through the lively souk to the iconic Djemaa El Fna Square. A stop at a Berber herbalist shop will reveal the secrets of local spices. Optional: a traditional dinner in the heart of the Medina.

Cross the majestic High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass to reach Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site. After visiting this iconic kasbah, continue to Ouarzazate, the film capital where legendary movies like "Gladiator" were shot. Dinner and overnight stay at the enchanting Riad Ksar Ighnda (or similar).

Journey to Zagora, the Gateway to the Desert, passing through the stunning Draa Valley, with its breathtaking landscapes. After a roadside lunch, explore the wonders of Zagora with your guide. Visit the impressive Todra Gorges, a monumental canyon with towering cliffs. After lunch, follow the scenic "Road of a Thousand Kasbahs" to Boumalne Dades. A restful evening awaits you at the elegant Dades Xaluca Hotel (or similar).

After breakfast in the heart of the Kelaa Mgouna valley, famous for its rose fields and rosewater production, continue your journey back to Marrakech, with a stop to visit the magnificent Kasbah of Skoura.
