Discover Morocco’s Imperial Cities on a 6-day journey through Rabat, Meknes, Fes, and Marrakech. Explore ancient ruins, vibrant souks, and breathtaking landscapes, from the cedar forests of Azrou to the golden dunes of Merzouga. Enjoy a camel trek, luxurious accommodations, and a deep dive into Morocco’s rich history and culture.
We will pick you up from your hotel/riad in Marrakech or from the airport to begin an unforgettable journey through Morocco’s Imperial Cities. First stop: Casablanca. You’ll visit the Hassan-II Mosque, the second-largest in the world, followed by a stroll through the medina and waterfront. The day ends in Rabat, where you'll relax at your hotel.
After breakfast, we’ll explore Rabat, Morocco’s capital, visiting the Royal Palace, Mohammed V Mausoleum, and the blue-tinted Kasbah of the Oudayas. Next, we head to Meknes, renowned for its luxurious palaces and souks, before stopping at the Roman ruins of Volubilis. We’ll conclude the day in Fes, where you’ll rest at your hotel.
This day is dedicated to discovering Fes, Morocco’s oldest imperial city. Highlights include the Marinid Tombs, the Mellah Jewish Quarter, Borj Nord, and the vibrant Fes medina, full of mosques, tanneries, and souks. Immerse yourself in the ancient atmosphere before returning to your hotel to relax.
After breakfast, you’ll journey through the cedar forests of Azrou to the Ziz Valley, visiting villages like Midelt and Erfoud. As the sun sets, enjoy a camel ride through the golden dunes of Merzouga, just like the Berbers. Your night will be spent under the stars in a traditional Berber tent (khaïma), where you’ll enjoy dinner and an unforgettable experience in the desert.
Wake up early to witness the sunrise over the desert dunes before breakfast. After refreshing at your hotel, the tour continues through the breathtaking Todra Gorges, visiting charming Berber villages along the way. The day concludes in the Dades Valley, where you’ll relax at your hotel.
After breakfast, follow the scenic Route of a Thousand Kasbahs to the palm groves of Skoura. From there, you’ll head to Ouarzazate, a famous film location, to explore its fortified city. Crossing the Atlas Mountains, the journey concludes in Marrakech around 6:30 pm. Farewell after 6 incredible days discovering Morocco’s Imperial Cities!
